District Commissioner, Mr. Ernie Scott presents Field Supervisor (Roads), Mr Myron Ryan with a plaque to recognize 31 years of service.

After accumulating over three decades of service with the Public Works Department in Cayman Brac, Field Supervisor (Roads), Mr. Myron Ryan recently retired. A farewell party was held in his honour on January 10th at the Aston Rutty Centre, with some 80 co-workers, family members and friends on hand to share the special moment. Mr. Ryan's career with PWD began in 1977 and ended on Friday January 11, 2008.

Mr Ryan was presented with a plaque by District Commissioner, Mr. Ernie Scott, given in recognition of "31 years of outstanding service and dedication to the Cayman Islands Government". Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Scott called it a bitter sweet moment and thanked Mr. Ryan for his many contributions to the department and the community, highlighting the level of service he brought to PWD, especially his expertise in heavy equipment operation. PWD Works Manager, Mr. Emmanuel Cruz also conveyed his appreciation for the great work Mr. Ryan undertook during his time at PWD.

At the ceremony, PWD Assistant Works Manager, Justin Bodden presented Mr Ryan with a gift from his co-workers.
